Who we are
Quality Life Bathrooms Limited, trading as QL Build (Quality Life Build), Bournemouth, Dorset. Registered in England and Wales. We are the "data controller" for the personal information described here.

What we collect
- Contact details you give us: name, phone number, email address, postcode and address.
- Answers you give in our online assessment and cost estimator, such as the type of bathroom you want and your timescale.
- Health or mobility information, only if you choose to share it in our assessment (for example, whether someone has a disability or mobility condition). This is "special category" data and we only use it with your explicit consent, to check eligibility for zero-rated VAT and to recommend suitable adaptations.
- Photos of your bathroom, if you choose to upload them.
- Details of calls with our automated booking assistant, Sophie, including a call summary and transcript.
- Your survey booking (date, time and address).
- Basic information about how you use our website and assessment (pages and steps visited, device type and which advert you came from). This does not identify you.
How we use it
- To contact you about your enquiry and arrange your free home survey.
- To give you a guide price and send you a copy of your estimate.
- To assess VAT relief eligibility and recommend suitable products.
- To improve our website, assessment and adverts.
We do not sell your information.
Our legal basis
- Your consent, which you give when you tick the box in our assessment (including explicit consent for any health information). You can withdraw it at any time.
- Taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (arranging a survey and quote).
- Our legitimate interest in running and improving our business, where this doesn't override your rights.
Automated phone calls
After you complete our assessment, our automated assistant "Sophie" may phone you to arrange your survey. A member of our team always follows up personally. You can ask us not to use automated calls at any time.
Cookies and similar technology
- Essential: needed for the website and assessment to work.
- Advertising (Meta Pixel): only used if you click "Accept" on our cookie banner. It tells Meta (Facebook/Instagram) when someone who saw our advert completes our assessment or books a survey, so we can show our adverts to the right people. No names, contact details or health information are shared with Meta. You can change your choice by clearing your browser data for our site.
- Our assessment also counts which steps visitors reach, without cookies and without identifying anyone.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers to run our business, who only use your information on our instructions:
- Microsoft (email and calendar)
- n8n (automation that routes enquiries and bookings)
- Vapi and our telephony provider (the automated booking assistant calls)
- OpenAI (to help summarise calls and enquiries)
- Supabase and Lovable (our website and cost estimator)
- Hetzner (hosting for our online assessment)
- Meta (only if you accept advertising cookies)
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, appropriate safeguards are in place (such as UK-approved data transfer agreements).
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't go ahead: up to 2 years, then deleted.
- Customers: up to 6 years after the work is finished (for guarantees, tax and legal reasons).
- Anonymous website statistics: up to 60 days.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, ask us to stop using it, object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent. Email info@qualitylifebathrooms.co.uk and we'll respond within one month.
